Singer 221 Ruffle Attachment, soft sewing ball, small quilt

Have lots going on in this photo:
  1. Upper Left - blue ruffle
  2. Pink ruffle
  3. Child's Taggie Quilt
  4. Soft ball with ribbon tags
  5. Singer Featherweight 221, did them all with a Ruffle Attachment, and the 1/4 inch Patchwork foot that my mom sells on her Singer Featherweight 221 Website.
  6. Old fashioned school table that we use in our formal dining (ahem, sewing) room.

    I have a Singer Featherweight and have been trying to use the ruffler with little success. The top thread bunches up on the underside, thread breaks and ruffles are inconsistent. Sometimes no ruffling at all. Any ideas? I need to make a lot of ruffles for a tablecloth. Thank you.
